The negotiations between the European Union and the United Kingdom on the Brexit are currently taking place. What is being negotiated and what are the key hurdles?
This was addressed by former Deputy Prime Minister of the United Kingdom, The Right Honourable Sir Nick Clegg i, during a lecture of Political Science on Tuesday April 24th in The Hague. What will be the impact on the UK and what will the UK look like after Brexit? What are the consequences for the EU-UK relationship?
The lecture was part of the course Political Science and started with an introduction by professor Steunenberg on the influence of the European Union on Dutch politics. The lecture was followed by a Q&A with Nick Clegg.
The Hague (PDC i) - How can we explain the results of the Brexit referendum and what will be the impact of the Brexit? Will the UK stay in the Single Market? Will there be continued cooperation with the EU to counter the big challenges of the 21st century, from terrorism to climate change? Former Deputy Prime Minister Nick Clegg i was invited by The Europe Lecture Foundation to shed light on these big questions in The Hague on 24 April 2018.
